It's a classical case of gaslighting. The stuff that Trump and Musk are saying is so outrageous, so extreme, so untrue, that I can't believe that I'm hearing it. Its sheer madness leaves me a bit disorientated, at a time when it's never been more important to resist and reiterate moral principles.
