Proper generic kernel fusion is *so* complicated.
Making it work for a trivial 1:1 case is easy, but considering more complicated scenarios like "shader needs another SSBO as a scratch buffer or to read a large block of constants from", or "input and output are not 1:1" or even "shader has multiple outputs" complicates things dramatically.
But I don't want to rush out an incomplete half-baked solution that will have to be ripped out later on.

It's so funny to me, that 'Gamers!' decided to do some game industry criticism in the final episode, just to ignore the plot, entirety and focus on ecchi content, while doing so.
No real conclusion, no nothing.
IMO this anime doesn't know what it wants to be.

Advice for new speakers
Someone messaged me recently to say he had just been selected for his first-ever conference talk, and since the talks of mine he'd seen in the past were so inspiring he wanted to know if I had any advice for new speakers. Since flattery will often get you somewhere, I offered the following advice. I figure it's generic enough that I should share it more widely. :-)

suppose i have one of these small ESP32 thingies which drives a peripherial - all neatly on a board. Is there some generic component - that comes with a usb and battery connector - that i can solder onto the power pins of the board so that it becomes portable and rechargable and preferably i can choose what size of LiPo battery i attach?
yes, i'm lazy, don't want to design&build a specific solution.
