The Met Office warns that 2026 is likely to become the fourth year on record where temperatures hit 1.4°C above preindustrial levels.

We mapped the world’s hottest data centers
In 21 countries, all data centers are located in climates that are too hot.

In 1987, a management consultancy concluded that the Netherlands should aim for a coal economy by 2050 ('cheap and abundant'). At Ecofys, we were surprised: can't be, we'd ruin our climate.
CO₂ concentration was at 350 ppm, global temperature increase at 0.6°C.
Now, 38 years later, I read: first tipping point reached.
