I’m will get sister’s Kindle too, they don’t use theirs, and it’s a newer model with a better e-ink display than mine. I read a lot of anarchist theory on my jailbroken Kindle.
Technically, a jailbroken Kindle can even run Linux, but for me, it is more just so I can free it from Amazon’s walled garden than anything else.

We employ the high-redshift suite of FIRE-2 cosmological hydrodynamic zoom-in simulations to investigate the evolution of gas-phase metallicity radial gradients in galaxies in the epoch of reionization (EoR). Our sample consists of 22 galaxies spanning the redshift range $z \sim 10-5$. We find that galaxies at $z\sim10$ exhibit a median metallicity gradient of $-0.15\,\mathrm{dex\cdot kpc^{-1}}$ with substantial scatter, which gradually flatten to $-0.1\,\mathrm{dex\cdot kpc^{-1}}$ at $z\sim6$,…

I completely disagree with the premise of this piece but I agree with it's overall conclusion… so this is awkward.
It's plain wrong for me to claim AGI is here and then only focus on LLMs being useful in a general sense.
Intelligence is only brought up as a segue to ask what technology ultimately should be used for.
Discuss the question at the end, for sure, but the first part is wholly unnecessary since the conclusion (here's the twist) is kinda general in its…

AGI is here (and I feel fine)
I propose to begin this year with an acknowledgment that is strategic but/and also sincere.

Restarting #Running, take 37 🎬
Busyness and niggling knee pain derailed me from my last efforts. Then inertia set in and everything becomes harder.
