
SGL: A Structured Graphics Language
This paper introduces SGL, a graphics language that is aesthetically similar to SQL. SGL is based on traditional grammars of graphics, as well as Vega-Lite's composition algebra. SGL demonstrates that the grammatical approach to graphics lends itself naturally to a SQL-like language.
