I use Hetzner's Storage Share (a managed Nextcloud) combined with a Debian based backend.

Today I tried to get our new Hetzner mailbox to work with gitlab issues, but failed. I blame Hetzner, because a) they don't seem to support subaddressing (foo 123@example.com) and b) they don't set the proper mail header (Envelope-To and Delivered-To) when doing a mail forward. Both of which work for example with mailbox.org, and both are needed to allow issue creation via email in gitlab (what they call Service Desk). Grrr...

Hat von euch jemand eine Empfehlung für einen Anbieter von Nextcloud-Hosting? Darf Geld kosten, muss nicht DE sein, EU würde mir reichen. Und nein, selber betreiben ist keine Option. Ich möchte das einfach nur benutzen, aber nicht administrieren.
Update: es läuft vermutlich auf eine Evaluierung (und Test-Betrieb) der Angebote von Hetzner und hosting.de raus. Danke für eure Rückmeldungen.

The fun side of going to India for a week for work is that my home rhythm is being up and about at 0630, doing things like hooking up cert manager to Hetzner for DNS01

So, habe mal E-Mail-Benachrichtigungen in der Admin-Verwaltung meiner managed Nexcloud bei Hetzner aktiviert, mit wöchentlichen Mails. Dann behalte ich Updates von Apps hoffentlich besser im Blick. Denn in den Admin-Account logge ich ich mich nur ca. monaltlich mal ein, um eben nachzuschauen, ob des solche Updates gibt.

Another day, another IPv6 question. I'm on a Hetzner cloud VM. I have a static IPv6 /64 subnet / prefix¹. The system uses systemd-networkd for network management.
My eth0 does not seem to receive any RA at all but I'd like to delegate the prefix downstream to a bridge interface br0 on the same host. I have an IPv6Prefix section on eth0 with the Prefix=…, Assign=yes and Token=static:::1. It works, eth0 gets the ::1 address for this prefix.
