Butson matrices are complex Hadamard matrices with entries in the complex roots of unity of given order. There is an interesting code in phase space related to this matrix (Armario et al. 2023). Structure determination of flat honeycomb Bi grown on Ag(111)
Honeycomb bismuthene structures on Ag(111) were investigated using low-energy electron diffraction (LEED) and density functional theory. LEED I(V) analysis revealed that 0.5 monolayer (ML) of Bi forms an ultraflat honeycomb lattice with negligible buckling at ~120 K, which transforms into other structures upon warming to room temperature. We prove a homogenization result for the difference of two coupled Dyson Brownian motions started from generalized Wigner matrix initial data. We prove an optimal order, high probability estimate that is valid throughout the spectrum, including up to the spectral edges. Prior homogenization results concerned only the bulk of the spectrum.
