Zahlen, bitte! Bis 12 zählen auf Grönländisch
Während manch Präsident meint, dass Grönland nur ein großes Stück Eis sei, zeigt es sich beim genaueren Hinsehen kulturell vielfältig, inklusive eigener Zahlen.

Awful. How’s that even possible? I thought modern building materials would prevent this
Edit: might be bamboo scaffolding

An excellent summary here via @… about how the structures of our civil society have failed to stop ICE from becoming Trump’s Brownshirts.
The one thing the piece omits: someone •is• stopping ICE. It’s the citizens filling the streets, honking and shouting and filming and generally harassing ICE, doing the work our government has failed to do. If it were not for that response being so widespread, sustained, and forceful, we’d be in far worse place right now. https://mastodon.social/@AnnaAnthro/115616389777857234
Hangin' With The 'Boys: All-In Ahead? https://www.dallascowboys.com/podcast/hangin-with-the-boys-all-in-ahead
The six-car ICE convoy came to a stop and instantly dozens of people swarmed it,
cellphones in hand,
while others ran out of nearby houses
—I saw a woman in gym shorts in the 20-degree weather
—and began surrounding the masked and heavily armed agents who had spilled out of their black SUVs.
The fury in the crowd felt almost like a physical force,
as real as the cacophony of whistles and honking cars and angry chants:
“ICE out! Fuck you! Go home!”
Other fun fact: Italian immigrants were lumped in with immigrants from other “undesirable” nations like… Russia and Poland.
To these prejudiced Americans, my people were considered the same as people from Italy and Spain! They talked about “South and Eastern Europe” as if it were one region with a homogenous culture or political landscape. Ridiculous!
