This work revisits optimal response-adaptive designs from a type-I error rate perspective, highlighting when and how much these allocations exacerbate type-I error rate inflation - an issue previously undocumented. Today is the 30th anniversary of the launch of the first wiki by Ward Cunningham. A page that anyone could edit. Right from the browser. It was generally seen as a bad idea. What if people did bad things?
Originally to support the software development community in creating a repository of software design patterns, wikis were later used for many other goals (even an encyclopedia!), and became part of Web 2.0, together with blogs, fora and social media.

Just read Plantin & Thomer's article, on the changes Figshare for Institutions introduces into the provision & organization of data-management labor in libraries. The authors worry that this commercial SaaS platform for institutional & data repositories, while fulfilling a number of library needs, will have detrimental effects. While it's a good piece of infrastructure-studies research, I question some of the analysis & conclusions.
