Tom JŸran SŸnstebyseter RŸnning hat in einem Post auf X eine bedenkliche Schwachstelle aufgedeckt: Der Edge-Passwort-Manager lädt sämtliche gespeicherten Passwörter unverschlüsselt in den Speicher und zwar direkt beim Start des Browsers. Die Passwörter liegen dort im Klartext, noch bevor ihr überhaupt die dazugehörigen Webseiten besucht habt. 🤯

@… black screen at ttyv8 after login with SDDM, and no response to Alt-F2 (i.e. I can not use KRunner to run 'plasmashell --replace').

Rano wstaję i patrze, że przyszedł mi mail, że moje hasło zresetowane... No i czuję już, że nie jest dobrze. Otwieram laptopa - uff, sesja nie wygasła - zmieniam hasło. Dzwonię do znajomego - jeszcze nie odbiera. No to chce wejść na dalej wp-admin panel - wywala mi sesje. Co otwieram - wywala mnie. Hasło działa, ale admin panel co kliknięcie wyrzuca.

No to lecimy, rest api, xmlrpc - jest, można czytać/pisać pliku przez xmlrcp. Otwieram sobie furtkę, wchodzę na serwer (swoją drogą do nicz…

Man hätte investieren können, sinnvolle Arbeitsplätze wären entstanden, Innovation hätte uns am Weltmarkt gestärkt nach dem die radikale Fokussierung auf Verbrenner in allen Bereichen uns zurückwirft, abhängt, konkurrenzunfähig macht und wir Wertschöpfung verlieren, aber dafür hätte es diese Bundesregierung arbeiten müssen, ihre Haushaltsprobleme in den Griff kriegen müssen. No progress at all on this #Ubuntu #GDM login failure issue; I can now only use the machine with a PTS console login, then run gnome-session --wayland, and that gives me only basic function, no access to things like User Accounts.
journalctl only gives these two clues, neither of which yields any meaningful Search results (in 2026)
gdm-autologin][]: gkr-pam: no password is available for user
gdm-autologin][]: pam_unix(gdm-autologin:session): session opened for user guest(uid=1005) by guest(uid=0)
gdm-autologin][]: gkr-pam: couldn't unlock the login keyring.
gdm3[841002]: Gdm: GdmDisplay: Session never registered, failing
but console login proves the user has a perfectly good password! GDM3 fails on the auto-login acct, presents the list of users, clicking one lets you enter pw, then bounces back to the acct list screen and any subsequent attempts are shown a non-functional box to enter their pw and a 'back' button that does nothing. 😩
