Het doel is duidelijk: heel Gaza moet onleefbaar gemaakt worden. Hoe beter dat lukt, hoe makkelijker de etnische zuivering.

Imagine you want to produce E-Fuels⚡⛽ but the power company does not want to sell you electricity⚡
That appears to be what potential E-Fuels producers faced in Iceland🇮🇸. The country uses 100% renewable electricity (hydro/geo) & could produce more.
Yet, Iceland's electricity producer Landsvirkjun does not have enough electricity⚡. Building new plants is delayed by slow permitting 📝. Landsvirkjun has therefore set out priorities.
When I say that the protesters were angry but not violent, I guess I should also say this:
In the sick imagination of white supremacy, for a Black or brown person to be angry •is• for them to be violent, by definition.
So when you hear people saying “they were violent,” those people are flat wrong — but they may also be describing something that is in fact completely real and completely consistent in their mind.

“What AI sells is vastly different from what it delivers, particularly what it delivers out of the box.”
The post gives some great context on the study of “the difference between work-as-imagined (WAI) and work-as-done (WAD),” and says:
“If what we have to do to be productive with LLMs is to add a lot of scaffolding and invest effort to gain important but poorly defined skills, we should be able to assume that what we’re sold and what we get are rather different things. That gap implies that better designed artifacts could have better affordances, and be more appropriate to the task at hand.”

“I fall in the baffled camp that thinks better designs are possible.” … “I don’t expect my calls to be heard. Selling sci-fi is way too effective. And as long as the AI is perceived as the engine of a new industrial revolution, decision-makers will imagine it can do so, and task people to make it so.”
