In April Todd Lyons,
the acting director of Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ice),
lamented that it takes too long to deport illegal immigrants.
At the Border Security Expo in Phoenix he told a crowd of startup bosses vying for government contracts that a better deportation system would function more like Amazon, the tech giant whose delivery drivers zigzag the country at record speed.
“Like Prime, but with human beings,” he said.

NOW— Mass ICE arrests happened/are happening at the Manhattan immigration court at 290 Broadway on the 20th floor.
I was just outside the building and an observer came out crying, confirmed they witnessed people getting detained outside courtrooms while families watched and wept.

The Trump administration knew
that the vast majority of the
238 Venezuelan immigrants
it sent to a maximum-security prison in El Salvador in mid-March
had not been convicted of crimes in the United States
before it labeled them as terrorists and deported them,
according to U.S. Department of Homeland Security data
that has not been previously reported.
