We construct Abelian gauge field configurations that carry non-zero instanton number. Each such "Abelian instanton" is generated by a closed magnetic worldline in four-dimensional Euclidean space, provided the Abelian gauge field has non-trivial winding along the closed worldline. I got the tow hitch installed on the Crosstrek today. Holding a tow hitch bar up, while aligning a bolt, and trying to get the nut on said bolt before I lose the bolt inside the frame OR drop the hitch on my face can be quite exciting. Then torquing those to 110 ft/lbs while lying under all of that can be hard on your shoulder. I'm exhausted now.

Some years ago, to avoid missing files when copying course materials to a different drive (e.g., a USB stick), I started copying (instead of symlinking) all files into the corresponding directory.
Obviously, the downside is that lots of duplicate files accumulate, including large files, like videos. So I thought about ways to deduplicate them... Some hours later:
