Former Shadow Chancellor John McDonnell tweeted: "Message to Keir: Do not underestimate the depth of anger people will feel about this disgusting decision. If you think it strengthens you I tell you it will simply hasten your demise. You could have shown magnanimous leadership but instead it’s cowardice."
By-election machinations weaken Keir Starmer and could ultimately push Andy Burnham closer to No 10 - Manchester Evening News

Just got back from middle school STEAM night. I did "Analog Synthesis: The Science of Sound"
“Learn how electronic music was made before computers, using electrical signals instead of digital technology…”
This went so well! I setup an ARP, a Moog, and an oscilloscope. We did waveforms, R2-D2 squeals, Close Encounters, Stranger Things, etc. A teacher let me borrow a big DIY subwoofer and we rattled the windows of that 8th grade math classroom! Haha!

A photo from the Saturday NEMS meetup (Nashville Electronic Music and Synthesizers). Great turnout, and some neat stuff people are working on. I brought my most recent revision of a portable eurorack kit, in it's 3D printed case, seen in the bottom left. Somehow I walked out with only one photo, so the others are from an electronic performance at the same venue on Thursday.

With a historic supermajority now secured, the Japanese
Liberal Democratic Party (LDP) under Sanae Takaichi stands at its strongest position in decades.
The collapse of the Centrist Reform Alliance (CRA) in the same election has left Japan’s political landscape without its most prominent counterweight.
The question now is simple: what is left of Japan’s opposition?
Running under the slogan “Citizens First,” the CRA tried to appeal to voters with middle-ground messagi…

The brassy notes of big band music are instant mood enhancers, turning mundane days into lively ones. Isn't it intriguing how certain genres electrify our lives? What's your chosen genre for a boost in energy and motivation? 🎺🎶

One of my VR Lighthouses died last month. These things are gyroscopically spinning 24 hours a day for, what, a decade now? Nearly.
No wonder. Mostly the industry seems to be settling on using head-mounted cameras rather than sweeping infra-red beams and receptors on the head anyway.
It is true that lighthouses give accurate positioning, but means I can't easily take the headset next door, say. Or to a party.
So inside-out, as they call it, is fine for the headset now and mostly okay for the hand-controllers.
But it offers no solution at all for the foot-trackers and hip-tracker that I need for puppetting the characters in the #vr #slimeVR #trackers
