I'm looking at an opamp datasheet that lists an input common mode low and high voltage separately, rather than min/typical/max Vicm.
Common mode low voltage is listed as typical Vn, max Vn 0.41V.
Common mode high is typical Vp - 1.2, min Vp - 1.41V.
Having the range listed this was is confusing to me. From my perspective, if I want to guarantee that my input will work. I need to keep it from Vn 0.41 to Vp - 1.2 and the datasheet should simply list those as the min/m…

There's a post going around claiming rice can't be used to absorb water and therefore shouldn't be used to dry wet electronics and that "it's a myth that it's a desiccant" and some people even claiming it's xenophobic—well it's not a myth; it does actually absorb water (this is also why you should close containers with uncooked rice air-tight). The question is more if it is a *good* desiccant in general and for electronics in particular, and the answer is probably it's a so-so desiccant (not terrible but there's better alternatives) and "for electronics, use only as last resort if just air-drying the thing has failed", the issue is mainly that rice is dusty and the dust can get inside the electronics and make things worse.
A protip from dealing with retrocomputing stuff: if it's electronics that you can open and have like one main circuit board in them that you can completely remove, like maybe e.g. a laptop mainboard you can rinse the removed board thoroughly with 99% isopropyl alcohol and let it dry thoroughly (the isopropyl alcohol displaces any water and will evaporate without leaving residue). Note: personally I would do this only with low-voltage electronics.

A little discouraged this afternoon as I spent part of the day adding extension wire into the 2nd pump as I had the first.
Two tries on both ends splicing in the cord and both times the pump fails to start with a low voltage on the pump-side error. 😢
Hate losing a day… but also unsure where the problem is. If it’s the pump, my splices, or the quality of the extension cord spliced into it (it is the other half of the same cord used to extend the first pump.) Really hope it is not the first! But the other two options suck too because it is an annoying job to do the splices.
Bummer.
Also after the foaming in, it looks like I still missed a significant gap somewhere. Only redirected about half the water. There is a lot more coming down to the end of the waterfall which is good. Still lots coming out the bottom under the flat rocks.
I think I am going to try splicing in a newer extension cord another day since that will kind of answer both the splicing and cord questions at once.
For now though, no extra bottom poolpond circulation/sprayers, just the main pump. And I still have 1.25 cans of foam to use, so I will plan for another day of foaming when I can take a super close second look at where the water is going that it shouldn’t.
Can’t all be successes. Like computer stuff 😝
