I would also like the crowd to consider that in 2007 when the Kindle was released there was no Calibre and there was no Kobo (you could get a Sony e-reader but these got discontinued over a decade ago); plus Kobo is just another commercial brand and Calibre is now pushing LLMs, which are sort of the opposite of reading.

If you are a Kobo Libra Colour user who, like me, makes annotations (typed, not drawn) in books, you may find it frustrating to lose those notes when returning library books.

One of the stupidest fixes I ever did (after two days of searching how to fix the problem).
The problem was Kobo Books iOS app opening links to book chapters inside popups, instead of jumping to the target page.

Nachdem mein Pocketbook Verse leider schon das zweite Mal einem Displaybruch erlegen ist, werd ich wahrscheinlich mal den Anbieter wechseln.
Amazon fällt aus Gründen raus.
Auch ein größeres Display evtl. mit Farbe wäre toll, vor allem für PDFs wie PnP-Regelwerke. Onleihe ist auch wichtig. Gibt es da Empfehlungen?
Ich tendire zum Tolino Vision Color oder Kobo Libra Color, was anscheindend dieselbe Hardware hat, oder was rechtfertigt den generell höheren Preis von Kobos?

I remember a time where you had to pick a competitor in an industry based on who you think will still be around in twelve months and who has a product that works on the devices that you own. Sosehr ich meine #Bibliothek auch liebe, die haben leider nur die echt grottige Übersetzung von Das Rad der Zeit.
Darum hab ich jetzt den Schritt getan und den Vorteil von ebooks genutzt, der auch so ein gigantisches Werk in eine handliche Größe bringt (zumindest gewichtsmäßig)
Das schwierigste dabei war eine wirklich DRM-freie Version vom TOR zu bekommen:
