In case anyone wonders if the #Linux CVE team releases #LinuxKernel CVEs before the problem is fixed in stable and longterm series:
Yes, they sometimes do this when the fix hit the mainline #kernel; n…

#Linux in-#kernel APIs can change even within stable/longterm #LinuxKernel series -- and thus might breaks your out-of-tree module.
Greg just reminded people about that aspect here:

Stringer, designed by #EmilyKlaebe, is a bracketed slab-serif revived from Ionics of the early 20th century and adapted for modern day typesetting. Its namesake is a testament to the use of Ionics in newspapers, with “stringer” being a freelance journalist. Available via #OrderTypeFoundry.

Finally, the resource utilization gains of cloud computing start to appear…
A longterm annoyance of enterprise IT is that modern ‘online’ systems typically need to be sized MUCH larger than their normal demands to handle uneven loads. Even without a lot of serious old-timers who remember how batch-oriented workloads could reach quite satisfying utilization levels, we look at our 32-core machines running at 0.02 load average and know that it is wrong.

Did a quick *rough* check:
* 65 #Linux #kernel CVE announcements from Greg so far
* 55 of those refer to a mainline commit
* 10 of those were marked for backporting to stable/longterm
And that's why Greg backports a lot of
