@gideonstar@mastodon.gideonstar.deHab Stoat jetzt mal getestet und ich muss sagen, da ist noch viel Arbeit nötig. Grundproblem Nummer 1: die offiziellen Clients verbinden ausschließlich mit dem Hauptserver. Die Funktion, sich damit auf selbstgehostete Server zu verbinden, existiert (noch) gar nicht.
Das Betreiben hinter einem Reverse Proxy funktioniert zwar größtenteils, hat aber einige Macken. Dokumentation dazu gibt es wenig bis gar nicht.
Vielleicht in einem Jahr noch mal.

Eine so gut funktionierende Gesamtlösung habe ich nicht gefunden und bin bei einem Setup aus Radicale und verschiedenen Clients gelandet. Würde ich einem Non-Techi aber wirklich nicht empfehlen. Interessant fand ich den Kalender von mailbox.org. Ich bin letztlich nicht da geblieben, weil ich's anders hinbekomm…

die filterliste findet ihr in den einstellungen eures mastodon clients oder im web interface
in diesen zeiten sicherlich hilfreich wenn man sich vor zu vielen negativen news zumindest ein wenig abschirmen möchte
@dnddeutsch@pnpde.social@… manche Clients können Labels zwar als Ordner darstellen, auf Serverebene sind sie aber keine. Hetznerkunde bin ich auch, deren Sieve-Server ist aber nicht exponiert und nur per deren eigenem Webclient bedienbar. Genau das tue ich grade, würde ich aber niemandem empfehlen, da die UX schrecklich rückständig ist
@thesaigoneer@social.linux.pizzaQoL. On Chinese phones (which are definitely the best bang for the buck, including my Vivo X200 Pro), the notification management is an absolute PITA. Especially all Mastodon clients (being unknown to the phone manufacturers) are notoriously bad in showing notifications. It makes for a nice quiet day though 😆
@denis@det.social@… ja, quote posts gibt es in Mastodon erst seit einem Monat - die setzen sich durch, aber die Clients müssen in vielen Fällen noch angepasst werden. Mit einem abonnierbaren Hashtag hätte man die Sache sicher besser machen können - so funktionieren hier virale Sachen.
