Grundproblem Nummer 1: die offiziellen Clients verbinden ausschließlich mit dem Hauptserver. Die Funktion, sich damit auf selbstgehostete Server zu verbinden, existiert (noch) gar nicht.
Das Betreiben hinter einem Reverse Proxy funktioniert zwar größtenteils, hat aber einige Macken. Dokumentation dazu gibt es wenig bis gar nicht.
Vielleicht in einem Jahr noch mal.

@thesaigoneer@social.linux.pizzaQoL. On Chinese phones (which are definitely the best bang for the buck, including my Vivo X200 Pro), the notification management is an absolute PITA. Especially all Mastodon clients (being unknown to the phone manufacturers) are notoriously bad in showing notifications. It makes for a nice quiet day though 😆
