Inspired by mornings kayaking in the #bwca and some quotes from "We are meant to rise" - the book I was reading at the time. From James Baldwin:"Identity [is] the garment [that] covers the nakedness of the self ... the garment [should] be loose ... like the robes of the desert, through which one's nakedness can always be felt, and sometimes, discerned. The trust in one's nakedness is all that gives one the power to change one's robes." Ed Bok Lee in his essay Pandemic Love:"I know a new kind of longing is breaking through even the oldest longings within you. It feels frightening. It feels free." #alcoholmarker https://buttondown.com/megancarney/archive/meditations-on-identityart-for-blessed-by-the/
