Enumeration of geometric Weierstrass points of metric graphs
A classical result states that on a smooth algebraic curve of genus $g$ the number of Weierstrass points, counted with multiplicity, is $g^3-g$. In this paper, we introduce the notion of geometric Weierstrass points of metric graphs and show that a generic metric graph of genus $g$ has $g^3-g$ geometric Weierstrass points counted with multiplicity. Our methods also provide a new proof of the existence of Weierstrass points on metric graphs of genus bigger than or equal to $2$.

Six non-affine 3-parameter families of complex Hadamard matrices of order 8 are presented. These families contain Hadamard matrices that are not equivalent to any previously known Hadamard matrices in the literature. Each family arises from unimodular points of an affine variety defined by palindromic polynomials. Why Emergence of Gravity in Matrix Theories is Entropic
Matrix theories exhibit the phenomenon of spacetime emergence in certain regimes of their dynamics. In this work, I posit that the key to this emergence is a hierarchy between two timescales -- very slow modes that an observer measures plus a chaotic cloud of very fast modes; this then leads to a natural operator algebra for measurements for the slow modes and an associated density matrix for the full system.
