In late 2020, I wrote an odd little musing of thoughts. Just re-read it today, and I like these lines:
"Love must have compassion and empathy at its beck and call.
As uncomfortable as truth can so often be, it remains true without any believers, without any champions arguing its case.
Pain is, heartrendingly, unavoidable. Misery is an option we can choose willfully by thinking we know everything and have nothing to learn."

I present a preliminary orbit for the satellite of dwarf planet (136472) Makemake, based on archival Hubble Space Telescope images taken on 13 days between April 2015 and February 2019. The satellite was detected on twelve of them. A best-fit circular orbit has a period of $18.023 \pm 0.017$ d, a semi-major axis of $22250 \pm 780$ km, and an inclination of $83.7^{\circ} \pm 1.0^{\circ}$ relative to the line of sight. Measurement of the CP asymmetry in $D^+ \to π^+ π^0$ decays at Belle II
We measure the CP asymmetry in $D^+ \to π^+ π^0$ decays reconstructed in $e^+ e^-$ collisions at the Belle II experiment using a data set corresponding to an integrated luminosity of 428 fb$^{-1}$. A control sample of $D^+ \to π^+ K_{S}$ decays is used to correct for detection and production asymmetries. The result, $A_{CP}(D^+ \to π^+π^0) =(-1.8 \pm 0.9 \pm 0.1)\%$, where the first uncertainty is statistical and the second systematic, is the most precise determination to date. It agrees w…
