Habe angefangen "Disaster Nationalism" von Richard Seymour zu lesen. Er macht ein paar interessante Punkte vor allem dazu, dass weniger um wirtschaftliches Selbstinteresse geht und zu Gewalt, die teils sehr drastisch beschrieben wird, und zu QAnon und Querdenken.

What, exactly, constitutes a “conservative idea?”
That dictatorship is preferable to democracy?
That white Christian nationalism is better than tolerance and openness?
That social Darwinism is superior to human decency?
The claim that higher education must be more open to such “conservative ideas” is dangerous drivel.
So what’s the real, underlying reason for the Trump regime’s attack on education?
Not incidentally, that attack extends to grade school.

The city of Wauwatosa did a "Drone Show" instead of fireworks. There are a ton of reasons fireworks are bad but at least they couldn't spell out this garbage.
What I wouldn't give to have a rouge drone fleet that could have added "FUCK THE" to prefix this.
(And no, I didn't go. I don't like drones and don't like nationalism/fascism.)

I have never understood why people say they are "proud to be British". You can be proud of achievements, but being British isn't an achievement. It's just random chance. I feel very LUCKY to have been born in a democratic country that has been free of wars since 1945, but pride is misplaced nationalism and potentially quite dangerous.
