I just noticed this for the first time, in tiny text at the bottom of the xkcd page https://xkcd.com : "xkcd.com is best viewed with Netscape Navigator 4.0 or below on a Pentium 3±1 emulated in Javascript on an Apple IIGS at a screen resolution of 1024x1. Please enable your ad blockers, disable high-heat drying, and remove your device from Airplane Mode and set it to Boat Mode. For security reasons, please leave caps lock on while browsing."

I started using the internet when I was 7 years old. It was the era of American Online (AOL), Netscape, and MUDs. I remember my mind being blown away about just being able to communicate with people all from a computer. Fast forward to today, you can communicate on almost anything to anyone and to any where. Just pull out your phone and message someone across the world and get a response in seconds. Technology advances so quick! Exciting but terryfing at the same time.
