In order to get a new emoji approved nowadays, it's even helpful to be able to point out additional meanings and usages that are metaphorical in this way. The Unicode consortium is wary of introducing too many new emojis, and so those that can "carry more weight" and fill many needs at once are preferred.
In internet corpora the vegetable-related uses of these emojis are probably quite rare (but I must admit I haven't checked yet) - and the metaphorical meanings probably dominate. Though there are also many insider uses of emojis that aren't super widely known outside of their circle. This is comparable to other kinds of linguistic codes or innovations (e.g. in youth language) and not limited to only emojis. #WorldEmojiDay #emojis #linguistics

I grew up with 2 sisters. I never heard either of them discuss guys in physical/visual terms.
My first girlfriend, later my first wife, said she was first attracted to me because I looked “like a man” whatever that meant. It only took her 5 years of intermittent dating & 10 of marriage to decide that maybe that was a poor basis.
My last girlfriend, later & still my second/last wife, hadn’t see a photo of me when she deemed me suitable from afar in `98

Baterie spadły do 20% - słońce w tym tygodniu nie było łaskawe i ledwo 8.9kWh wpadło przy 22.4kWh zużycia. Reszta przyszła z alternatora na trasie z południa na północ Polski, ale potem już bez szału. Ostatnie dni praktycznie oscylujemy między 15% - 40% próbując z dnia na dzień wyrównywać zużycie.

Mam wrażenie, że we wrześniu dni bardzo szybko robią się krótsze i słońce z dnia na dzień jest niżej.
