This might be a useful Obsidian tip. I tried Obsidian (again!) last year but I just couldn’t walk away from Bear because it’s so good. (Bear is macOS only but they did add web access last year.)

As soon as I encountered computers, I dreamt of a smart AI sidekick that could organize my thoughts and collaborate with me on them. Obsidian with @dereklarso's Claude Sidebar has done that. My life is transformed overnight again.

Along the way I learned how to create a nice document from all the Markdown files I have written in Obsidian. With Pandoc and LaTeX stitching the chapters together as one PDF or EPUB. And of course I lost way too much time solving the last typesetting problems, reading documentation of either Pandoc or templating for Latex. It was a fun ride.

Every time I try to use Obsidian I just dont understand how anyone can use this fucking editor?
Who thinks opening a quote with ``` should then visually start a quote block and put the ``` inside the text of the quote block? And then when you remove the ``` it removes the quote block?
Or when you make a "*" bullet list it visually makes a bullet list but then also put your bullet in the bullet list which you then have to remove?
And that's in "source"…

I don’t understand the negativity around #TheOuterWorlds by Obsidian. It was a good game. I didn’t bother to finish it fully but I played it almost to the end. It was kinda boring at times but it has potential.
I don’t have any opinion on the sequel though. Is it as bad as Lemmy makes it out to be?
