After he dropped off his sons on the morning of September 12,
two Immigration and Customs Enforcement officers approached the 38-year-old in his car.
He put the vehicle in reverse and attempted to flee.
One officer continued to chase him on foot and eventually fired his weapon,
striking Villegas-Gonzalez, who crashed into a delivery truck

Officials of the Department of Homeland Security would later say that Villegas…

Zeus, wearing himation and chiton, seats on a diphros holding a thunderbolt in his right hand. The goddess Hera (named) attends the mythical birth. The wine god holds in his hands two torches, connecting, in this way, his divine nature to the fire and the light. Slowly getting into a rhythm to start the day with doing a print each morning, each time still tweaking either negatives, concentrations and/or durations of different processing stages to adjust tones/hues... A new adventure with some back and forth each time!
This print is of Langkofel / Sassolungo, one of my favourite mountain massifs, just such interesting features and so many dear memories, here seen from the east (around half and hour before sunset)...

iPhone photo of a 8x6" kallitype print of a photo of the Langkofel mountain massif with its talus fields and some scattered pine forest in the foreground. The sky is filled with layers of small clouds illuminated by the evening sun. The picture is surrounded by a thick dark brown border of the exposed hand-painted photo emulsion.

I'm finally trying printing with Spiderflex (77-82A shore) filament. The print speeds remind me of my first 3d printer. Two tiny parts totaling under 3g took about an hour, printing with a maximum speed of 10mm/s. But having really flexible TPE is really handy; there's really no reasonable alternative!
Now I have new feet for my KX3, and honestly they might be better than the originals (sorry Elecraft!) They are at least as grippy on the table surface, and they are a closer fit on the …

A company has developed technology to transport your consciousness into your past, but only for one hour and without any precision as to when. Some go to see a lost loved one. Others to briefly escape the pain of future traumas.

Strong start but devolves into an all too neat saccharine finish.

One of my contractors used an #LLM for a first draft of a client deliverable today.
I don’t allow #AI use for any client-facing work (and try to prohibit it for internal work too, but it’s been… tricky). This person knows it - I’ve worked with them for years, and they are usually very thoughtful and wouldn’t take a shortcut like this. So seeing the obvious AI copy was very confusing.
Thankfully we had a call scheduled this morning, so I decided to handle it there.
The contractor showed up very obviously sick, they told me they took most of past week off but had to force themselves to finish this draft because the deadline is EOD. I asked if they used #AI to draft the document, they immediately confessed and apologized.
Since the deliverable is client-facing, I asked them to explain their ideas to me in conversational language and then used my notes of what they said to help them rewrite the document. We worked through the whole thing in an hour, and I’ve asked them to go rest and recover.

It's surprising to me how much the number of commercial planes at YUL changes throughout the day. There are clearly morning/evening/night rushes.
Looks like there's only one (or two) commercial plane(s) at YUL right now, but in 3 hours, there will be dozens of take-off/landing events in that hour.
