OneDrive screamed at me for using 98% of my storage and I discovered that 8GB of it is from two screen recordings of playing GTA Online: one that I think I started by accident and another was meant to record a cheater but I simply forgot to stop. Just two whole game sessions.

Ich bin heute direkt zwei amerikanische Digial-Dienste losgeworden. Aus alten windows Zeiten hatte ich noch ein 100GB #OneDrive Abo laufen. Hab nun alle Daten wo anders gesichert und das Abo gekündigt. Und weil das gleichzeitig mein letzter noch bestehender PayPal-Abbucher war, konnte ich auch mein #PayPal …

Finally, I am no longer relying on OneDrive for offsite backup. Over the course of this year, I have significantly reduced my reliance on big-tech services. 💪

Ich zögere aus Gründen etwas, die Frage hier zu stellen, probiere es jetzt aber trotzdem: wenn ich das richtig sehe, ist aktuell der beste Weg weg von Google Calendar (den wir familienintern intensiv nutzen) und Google Drive/Onedrive (ähnlich) der hin zu einer Nextcloud-Installation. Theoretisch könnte ich, wenn ich das richtig sehe, Nextcloud sowohl auf meiner NAS als auch auf meinem Webspace zum Laufen bringen, habe aber eigentlich keine Lust, mich um noch eine Software zu kümmern. Ideen?
