With the #OpenStreetMap website’s new #VectorTiles, it’s nice to see that we can zoom in to level 23! Unfortunately, if the vector coordinates are not stored with OSM’s 7 decimal places for higher-zoom tiles, then what’s the point of all that zoom? 👀

As expected, @… (OpenStreetMap France) has bid to host #StateOfTheMap 2026 in #Paris, #France

It’s a vicious cycle:
Pumping for groundwater is dehydrating our world.
And yet, people take more water from underground due to need, when climate-driven heat and drought are at their worst.

#TuneTuesday (Aug 26)
To me Toad the Wet Sprocket is one of those cool 1990s alternative rock bands and know them for their major hits like “All I Want” and “Fall Down”.
It was only in the last few years that I got to listen to some of their non-singles and “Windmills” from their 1994 album Dulcinea is one that really stood out to me with its laid-back melancholic vibe.
