We need good effective outliers to shift the window of discourse. This window is just a bell curve of acceptable discourse. Acceptability just reflects the values that people hold. More people held corrupt values since Trump became their loudspeaker. Values of decency and caring need a louder speaker. They need you! Express your good self. The purpose of such nonsense isn't just legislating fundamentalist Christian morality (even if such isn't even Christian). It's also to move the Overton Window, to make less ridiculous things seem "normal" or an acceptable compromise position.
