AI slop images are soulless. And yet. Two generated slop "memes" posted by the current US president on his social media accounts managed to make me cry in sheer desperate anger. The first was the inhumane and hateful fantasy clip of an ethnically cleansed "Trump Gaza". The second was the president's recent depiction of himself as the psychopath war criminal Kilgore from the movie "Apocalypse Now".

A couple of days ago I posted a picture of a juvenile five lined skink, known for their contrasting bright cobalt tail.
Today I saw the largest adult I’ve ever seen. Wikipedia says they can be “about 12.5 to 21.5 centimetres (4.9 to 8.5 in) total length (including tail)” and buddy here is every bit of that 8.5 inches.
