California’s new attempt to help struggling newsrooms faces key test
Assembly Bill 2222 would create refundable tax credits for California local news organizations
based on the number of journalists they employ,
which in practice would provide direct cash infusions to participating newsrooms.

Watching NatGeo show “Built for Mars” on the build of the Perseverance rover.
What is really special about this show is that it deservedly valorizes the technicians. Not the scientists and engineers, those are the cheerleaders in this one, effusively praising the people who do the hyper-careful, ultra clean assembly, test, and launch ops.
