Het Europese Hof heeft nu bepaald dat: het Ctgb een nieuwe pesticide wel degelijk moet onderzoeken op hormoonverstorende werking; het gaat bij de toelating immers om een nieuw middel, en dat moet in zijn geheel worden onderzocht, op alle schadelijke effecten; onderzoek niet alleen aan de hand van protocollen moet worden gedaan, maar alle meest actuele beschikbare betrouwbare wetenschappelijke en technische kennis daarbij worden betrokken moet worden. als een ander Europees land een middel heeft…

De rechtbank van Luxemburg oordeelt in drie zaken op basis van vragen gesteld door een Nederlandse administratieve rechtbank (CBB) dat het beleid van de Nederlandse pesticiden-autoriteit Ctgb niet deugt.
