No mattress until Monday, but a bed fully stained and varnished and constructed.
Had to wait a couple of days for varnish which never came. Went out to an actual DIY shop in the end. Gonna have a lot of spare varnish soon.
Varnished the whole room with two more coats as well as the bed twice.
A few more things to buy after Xmas and the full media setup can't happen until the new Steam Machine at its heart is released. Maybe cobble together something to plug a laptop into in the meantime? All for next year though once the mattress arrives and I can actually sleep in the bedroom.

It just arrived and I unboxed it. First, it smells. Second, it has a mini HDMI plug, and I don't have an adapter. Second problem easily fixed, part will be here tomorrow. But why does it smell like chemicals? Hopefully it airs out over the next few hours or something.

Abstract: Multi-instance partial-label learning (MIPL) is a weakly supervised framework that extends the principles of multi-instance learning (MIL) and partial-label learning (PLL) to address the challenges of inexact supervision in both instance and label spaces. However, existing MIPL approaches often suffer from poor calibration, undermining classifier reliability. In this work, we propose a plug-and-play calibratable disambiguation loss (CDL) that simultaneously improves classification accuracy and calibration performance. The loss has two instantiations: the first one calibrates predictions based on probabilities from the candidate label set, while the second one integrates probabilities from both candidate and non-candidate label sets. The proposed CDL can be seamlessly incorporated into existing MIPL and PLL frameworks. We provide a theoretical analysis that establishes the lower bound and regularization properties of CDL, demonstrating its superiority over conventional disambiguation losses. Experimental results on benchmark and real-world datasets confirm that our CDL significantly enhances both classification and calibration performance.

Anyway, I 3D printed a little enclosure for it, added some rubber o-rings, velcro strapped onto the downtube, and plugged into a USB power bank.
It's pretty damn bright! I can slide it up a few centimeters to plug in the ebike when it needs charging, and it's simple to remove.

My experience so far has been that when I was driving nearly every km on electricity a message popped up that I needed to top up my gas tank with fresh fuel and drive on that for a time!
Because I bought it as a new car, the cost of replacing it with an EV is quite high. And I still would need to go fight Strata Council to get charging at my parking space.

- They don't support THX or Dolby Digital. In fact, they don't support any digital signal at all.

No complaints so far. Easy access to tab management, no weirdly hidden buttons or menus you need to tap multiple times to see fully. As a bonus, it has built-in filter support as well as several great Firefox and Chrome plug-ins. And Kagi’s search is optional. In fact you have more search options than in Safari.
