A federal judge ruled Tuesday that Donald Trump and Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth
violated federal law by using the US military to help carry out law enforcement activities in and around Los Angeles this summer.
US District Judge Charles Breyer concluded that Trump’s use of thousands of federalized California National Guard members and US Marines to provide protection to federal agents during an aggressive immigration crackdown in the Los Angeles area ran afoul of the Posse Comi…

“That’s not this country, we have to do something.”
Breaking laws by deploying soldiers ain’t it.
Common sense gun control laws can be.
Breaking Posse Comitatus won’t solve underlying causes of crime.
And red states are more murdery than LA, DC and Chicago.
He’s grabbing power.

Judge Charles Breyer rules that the Trump administration brazenly violated the Posse Comitatus Act
when it deployed soldiers to enforce domestic laws in LA.
Breyer says Trump may not create "a national police force with the president as its chief."

Welp, there goes Posse Comitatus (precluding troops from law enforcement actions such as search, seizure, and arrests). It was nice while we had it.

The Los Angeles field office director for the Department of Homeland Security
testified on Monday that Immigration and Customs Enforcement officers
desperately needed the help of military personnel in carrying out arrests.
The question is whether Donald Trump‘s deployment of armed forces goes against U.S. law that generally prohibits the president from using the military to police domestic affairs.
