んとね、ざっくりいうと、
#PeerTube は自分で建ててナンボってところはある。
動画のエンコードが必要なときだけ演算能力要るけど、エンコード済みのデータはオブジェクトストレージとかから転送するだけだし、基本的に自分のデータだけホストするので、実は軽い。
で、仲のよいPeerTubeインスタンス同士でつながるとお互いの投稿が共有されるようになるので、そうやって広げる。再生は提供元のサーバから直接データを取得するんだけど、キャッシュして手伝うこともできる。
もしハブになるサーバが欲しかったら、FediMovieに声をかけてくれてもいいよ。
