Three little kids from our neighbourhood were selling bracelets (two girls, one boy, just to break any stereotypes) and now I have the coolest wrist (well, I think so anyway) ✨
#bracelets #bray #ireland

A rather thin, pale, and hairy arm with three hand-made multicolour plastic bracelets.
One has little chains, the other beads and the letters B R A Y and the last litte rings.

Had to get rid of some ants in the garden. My daughter was not pleased about this deathly maneuver but accepted it if we also set up grave stones for the ant’s memorial!
So if you need some crafts gravestones you know where to look for!
#RIP Ants

Table from above with printed out gravestones with RIP written on them. Those are then glued to toilet paper rings so they can stand. You can also see glue stick, scissors and my daughters hand putting stuff together

"…Every filthy stupid thing that happens is happening in the open, now: Captains of industry line up to shake Trump's hand at…big birthday party he threw for himself…every new blast of rank & ancient bigotry or proudly pig-stupid backwardness arrives w/o euphemism or qualification. Trump is not just figuratively walling himself off from…DC, & glowering down at its residents, he is literally doing all those things."

I've had this Guardian Angel Devices "Elite Series" LED safety strobe on my SAR pack for a year or so now. It's USB charged, has a fixed internal lithium ion battery, and is available in a range of configurations.
It's come in handy a lot on urban missions where we're searching along road sides... Hi vis gear doesn't work well when you have a backpack over it blocking the view of all the reflective stripes.
The thing is supposed to be waterproof but …

LED strobe on a backpack showing the second diode from the bottom glowing slightly
Another view showing what looks like greenish brown corrosion along this side
Front view of the strobe in action showing the LED not working
Another angle with the back light on

Hands as the Language of Thought: Correcting a Kant Attribution
There is a line about hands that travels well. It reads cleanly, carries an air of philosophical dignity, and arrives in print wearing the name of Immanuel Kant. "The hand is the visible part of the brain," runs the most common English form, or, in an older rendering, "the hand is the outer brain of man." The phrase appears in publishing copy, in teaching materials, on Goodreads quotation pages, in popu…

RE: #Boycott or economic blackout, #GeneralStrike, and #TaxStrike are escalations. Get in the streets and stay there. This is like a bouncer putting someone's arm behind their back and moving them.
Sometimes people try to slip out of that and fight back. Imagine if a bouncer just let themself get pummeled because they weren't ready, even after the belligerent asshole telegraphed it. A lot of bouncers take martial arts, not because they use it as a first response but because they want to be ready for those edge cases.
Armed revolution is like a bouncer getting down to brawl and calling in their buddy with the zip ties and bear mace. It's not something anyone starts with, or anyone wants to escalate to, but some people can't take a hint and are incapable of doing what's best for everyone.
Always know your next step (even if you hope you don't have to take it).
Imagine if a bouncer was just like, "oh, I asked him nicely but he told me to fuck off. I guess the creep who's punching random people and pissing in the corner runs the bar now."

I might’ve just splurged on another watch and I do bloody well love it. A perfect blend of minimalism and character/emotion :)
(A perfectly useless afternoon by Kristof Devos from Mr. Jones Watches.)

A simple metallic quartz watch with a hand-painted illustration of a person floating on a yellow rubber ring in light blue pool with the pool lines distorted by the water and yet lining up with the tiles at the side that make up the hour markers. One of their legs is sticking out, pointing out the hour and a little rubber ducky that circles the circumference is the minute hand. The illustration is by Kristof Devos.
