Appeasement of fascists leads to more fascist power. Fascists do not stop. It is a political position that eventually has to be stopped or it destroys everyone, including its leaders.
GOP will not vote for a Dem simply for surrendering the rights of trans people. They'll vote for GOP that will take the rights of even more people.
All Dems do by surrendering trans rights or immigrants rights or reproductive rights is discourage their base and depress turnout. See Kamala Harris' example. GOP kept attacking her for supporting rights no matter what she said to deny her support.
