By improving geometric recollision estimates for a random Lorentz gas, we extend the timescale $T(r)$ of the invariance principle for a Lorentz gas with particle size $r$ obtained by Lutsko and Toth (2020) from $\lim_{r \rightarrow 0} T(r) r^{2} |\log(r)|^2 =0$ to $\lim_{r \rightarrow 0} T(r) r^{2} |\log(r)| =0$. A bit baffled by my colleagues' and students' helplessness regarding "new" digital tools - considering that my grandpa, who is turning 97 in a week and is almost blind, is reading a lot of online news and tutorials ("TV is boring"), still sends e-cards for all our birthdays, recalculates all his care bills with a huge Excel table, and apparently has a LinkedIn account (he hasn't worked since 1990) 🤷‍♀️
