You strangle us for forty years and then criticize us for the way we breathe.
A quote often attributed to Fidel Castro regarding the state of Cuba, yet there being no official record of him ever saying it. One way or the other, it's a perfect summary of both Cuba's situation under imperialist oppression, as well as the 'egoism' workers develop in a capitalist state. We are products of our environment, shape the environment, shape the people and the countries th…

Record-breaking heat wave grips western US #UnitedStates #USA

Over and over, DHS goons descend on areas where immigrants congregate,
grab every non-white person they encounter,
and drag them away with little regard for their citizenship status.
Then they send out indignant liars like DHS Assistant Secretary Tricia McLaughlin to spew nonsense about how this is all perfectly legal.
“Our officials use reasonable suspicion,” McLaughlin claimed on Fox News,
explaining the standard federal law enforcement officers use to detain…

Ex-progressive Senator John Fetterman is bucking his party yet again,
but this time the fallout could drastically impact the results of future elections.
The Pennsylvania turncoat came out in favor of voter ID legislation, revealing that he would support a clean bill if it required voters to show identification before they cast their ballot.
The issue is currently gaining momentum in the Senate under the banner of the "Safeguarding American Voter Eligibility", or S…

To me, Cliff Richard and Freddie Mercury always seemed an unlikely pair of friends.
The thing I didn't know was that Richard was born in India and because of his accent and complexion he, strangely, faced anti-Indian racism when his family moved back to Britain.
Freddie Mercury's family was from India and he was educated there in a British type boarding school. When he fled to Britain with his family from Zanzibar he also had to deal with racism.
So Cliff and Freddi…

Riverside County Sheriff Chad Bianco, who is a leading Republican candidate for California governor,
has seized more than 650,000 ballots from last November's election
and is investigating whether they were fraudulently counted.
"This investigation is simple:
Physically count the ballots and compare that result with the total votes recorded,"
Bianco said at a news conference Friday.
The unusual probe drew a sharp rebuke from California Attorn…

A U.S. appeals court has cleared the way for a Louisiana law requiring poster-sized displays of the Ten Commandments in public school classrooms to take effect
The six judges who voted against the decision wrote a series of dissents,
with some arguing that the law exposes children to government-endorsed religion in a place they are required to be,
presenting a clear constitutional burden
Circuit Judge James L. Dennis, an appointee of Democratic President Bill Clinton,…
