Da ist es passiert: Kurt Matzler hat der gefürchtete Shermer's Neck ereilt. Ein spontanes Versagen der Nackenmuskulatur, wie es nur bei Ultradistanzrennen auftritt. Betroffene können einfach den Kopf nicht mehr heben, was auf dem Rad natürlich ungünstig ist. Beim #RAAM versucht man in solchen Fällen den Nacken bspw. mit einer Halskrause als Stütze zu entlasten. Mal sehen wie es weitergeht.
