For a long time, I diligently put my course materials into #git, but I found that it has little, if any, benefits for my use case, most notably, working alone.
But I’m now in the lucky position that others will teach my courses for the next academic year (#sabbatical, yay!)—now it does make sense to use version control!

Leek me wel gepast nu ik dagen door de tuin loop om het groen in bedwang te houden. Hoewel ik ook glorieuze doe-het-zelver had kunnen toevoegen. Sabbatical is op dit moment niks doen, tuin onderhouden en klussen die al vijf jaar op uitvoering wachten eindelijk eens aanpakken. #sabbatical #linkedin #frankrijk

Been doing code-reviews all week. (What a way to spend sabbatical!) It seems like almost *nobody* pronounces "GUI" as "gooey" any longer? They all say gee-you-i. Is this a generational thing, Brown thing, …?

Het was een heerlijke week niks doen in Frankrijk. Beetje in de tuin, een muur in de slaapmaker van drie lagen behang ontdaan, gladdig gemaakt (blijft een oud huis met vele wonden) met Muurglad.

Straks even naar Nederland mijn liefjes ophalen, morgen terug naar Frankrijk. Zonder die twee is het wel een beetje stil hier. Leve de rust, de natuur en de vogels.

Ik maakte mijn jira bord leeg, ik sloot mijn code editor, diende mijn laatste declaratie in.
Nog wat branches weggooien en dan is het sabbatical voor de rest van het jaar.
Voelt vreemd maar ik heb er zin in. Morgen macbook terug naar de opdrachtgever.

Toen 16 horsepower zijn reünietoer aankondigde was ik te laat voor kaartjes in 020. In Antwerpen was 31 mei ook al uitverkocht, maar was daar direct een extra concert voor NU!
Morgen nog een dagje Antwerpen erachter aan. #sabbatical
