Skies cleared up just in time for solar activity to get even higher (Kp 8)...
... and the sun to come up. I grabbed a single digit number of shots but the eastern sky was already visibly bright naked eye and my long-exposure shots started getting washed out.
Forecast shows activity will be decent all day (good luck Asian/European sky watchers!) and might persist into the dark for me tonight. Fingers crossed.

We inherited an Asian plum tree with our house. For the first couple of years, it produced nothing. Last year it started producing some tart plums, perfect for jams. This year looks to be a bumper crop. This was just my first 30 minutes of harvesting from what I could reach on the ground! #gardening

This is the main square in Piran, Slovenia, early morning today. Only 10 minutes away, the 22nd Extended Semantic Web Conference ESWC 2025 will take place, starting on Sunday, June 1st, 2025. I'm looking forward to meeting dear colleagues as well as old and new friends, listening to exciting keynotes, great presentations, and many more activities.

Bill Maher's "Is Anyone Else Seeing This" was unbearably annoying after a few minutes (who would have guessed), I made it through Bill Burr's "Drop Dead Years" and it was fine (I am not quite where he is yet) and I really enjoyed watching Ari Shaffir's "America's Sweetheart" (so _that_ kind of of white-privilege middle-age is #WhereIAmNow ).
