Python is better, but has issues, mostly because of macOS.
And macOS permissions for user-created applications are a nightmare!
But a big, big thanks goes out to tools like Platypus.

because of all the fussy things tv chefs do
like swirling the water or adding vinegar or separating the loose white from the tight white
but i thought, what’s the worst that could happen if i don’t do any of those things?
it turns out, nothing bad
so, just
bring a pan of salted water up to a bare simmer
break eggs from the shell directly into the pan so they are a few cm apart
leave them…

@thesaigoneer@social.linux.pizzaCool thing of NixOS. You need a package temporarily (i.c. wget), run 'nix-shell -p wget" and after some brief magic you can use it in that session. So that Crux iso came down very smoothly.
