We study the propagation of solitary waves in a Fermi-Pasta-Ulam-Tsingou (FPUT) lattice with small random heterogeneity in the linear spring force. Perturbed by the random environment, solitary waves lose energy through a radiative tail, resulting in gradual amplitude attenuation.
