Since I could translate the symbols, I can now see them in gdb as well (extended with gef here). When I run QEMU, it uses the Multiboot header, but that's no issue.
In gdb, I had to
- `target remote localhost:1234`
- `add-symbol-file ./9pc64.aout.elf 0xffffffff80110000`
The second part is crucial for relocating the symbols, since we'll be long mode.
Anyway, enjoy symbols!!! \o/

TIL: On Taiwan TV, the BBC series “Doctor Who” is translated as “何博士”.
博士 is simply the word for doctor (the academic degree, not a medical practitioner). But 何 is both a Chinese surname (transcribed as Ho or Hé) and an interrogative pronoun for “what” or “how”. Clever translation.
BBC and Disney use 超時空奇俠 as the Chinese title which translates as "across-time-space strange hero" and Netflix uses 神秘博士 "Mysterious Doctor". 🤷

Harmoknight: completed!
Harmoknight is best described as a rhythm platformer, although the platforming is basic at best and the rhythms are simple. You have two buttons - a jump, and an attack - and you have to either jump or attack in time with the music's beat. In most cases it's sufficient to react in time to seeing the gap or enemy, but on occasion the screen zooms in and reaction times are just too long; it's at this point that you'll lose too many lives and have…
