kwin_wayland uses 30% of the CPU and the system grinds to a halt (like mouse cursor position update greater than 1 second grinding) with 7GB free RAM during builds on this laptop. It's fine on my other one. (Incidentally, what I'm building is kwin6/kwin_wayland with some dreck patched out.)
I hope Sonic DE makes progress so we still have an alternative X11 future!
