Contrast-Finder — Find correct color contrasts for web accessibility.
Opensource software and online tool for web accessibility.
There are lot of tools to find a good contrast on the web, but no one to suggest valid contrasts. Contrast-Finder is a tool which computes the contrast between two colors (background, foreground) and checks if the contrast is valid.

My #AltProcess #Kallitype development/printmaking journey is already showing strong parallels to my software dev experience, i.e. a preference for avoiding monolithic frameworks and building more granular, reliable, understandable & controllable tooling myself, and get much better & mor…

Two 4x6 kallitype salt prints of a computational artwork (physics sim). The right one is the untoned test sheet with additional grayscale gradients to check response of different exposure times. The left one is the final toned print with more neutral black-brown tones.

What POSSIBLE excuse is there for this ubiquitous bad practice? Is it taught in the schools this way?
Some describe me as calm, and I say oh yeah? give me five minutes alone with 21st century software.

Good to see more free/open source projects move off the proprietary ai-scraping microsoft github platform to codeberg etc.
I think it's fair to say that projects left behind there aren't really free/open source.. Many aren't able to contribute to projects there for ethical reasons (e.g. microsoft's association with genocide, epstein, extractive LLMs, Trump, ICE etc), and github now exists to strip software of free/open source licenses.

Ah, yes, scale and market penetration, the two founding pillars of open source.
(Actually, I’m not even being sarcastic. Don’t confuse free software and open source. Open source is open as in “open for business” and “open for enclosure”. Free software is about free as in “freedom”. Very different things, even if, in both cases, the source is readily available.) @…

One reason why La Terminal doesn’t encourage tmux for session preservation or mosh is their low fidelity terminal rendering, so I use a tiny “keep the session open” instead. It is a small binary I bundle with LaTerminal.
To get the best of both worlds, I cooked my own “tmux” built on top of headless SwiftTerm, so I get high fidelity rendering - but deploying it seems like an uphill battle:

This looks nice! Sometimes we get really cool things posted when folks show up at Maker Forums to make their first post, and AxioCNC looks modern and has some potentially really helpful features. 🎉
