Doctor Doom has taken the position of Sorcerer Supreme (from Doctor Strange) but after six months has neglected to do the actual work maintaining the Earth's mystical protections.
@benthos@mastodon.sdf.orgI watched "Sorcerer" (1977, dir. William Friedkin) for the first time. The 4k transfer looks terrific. It's based on the Arnaud novel, which was made into a film of the same name in 1953 by HG Clouzot. Roy Scheider is terrific. It's hard to fathom that this was a critical and box office failure.
