I can reproduce the Spotlight crashes when allowing Spotlight to index my user home.
I am continuing my research by excluding folders from my user home maybe I can figure out what's causing the crash.

On Tahoe 26.2, I bring up Spotlight, enter a few characters, Spotlight displays some results, and then it simply disappears in under 1 second.
Has anyone seen this behavior?
Is this something specific to my machine?

I have disabled and re-enabled Spotlight indexing hoping that the index was the issue. (why would a bad index crash the app is a different question).
Spotlight crashes continuously.
At this point it is completely useless.
Apple doesn't have a store in Romania so there's no way to handle this but alone.
Incredibly frustrating experience.
