gen-AI outputs tend to be locally plausible but globally incoherent, because there's no intention, no viewpoint that motivates the assembly of the parts.
with a little practice, people can get pretty good at sensing "the vibes are wrong", and from there pick out specific details that are suggestive of gen-AI. note that this process goes from global to local, but the explanations tend to be just the local, because it's hard to explain "the vibes are wrong"

Hmmm... How likely are platform specific memory safety issues in ngscopeclient/libscopehal? I'm thinking "not very" since almost all of the OS-specific stuff code is in third party portability libraries.
I ask because right now we do all of our CI builds as optimized release builds with the intention of creating nightly builds other people can download and play with.
But I want to do ASAN debug builds to catch memory safety issues during tests (there was at least on…
